Sick Sunday

Yup, I finally caught something.  There’s been so much going around at work in the last few months that I’m surprised I haven’t been sick more.  I’m surprised what I have now isn’t worse because right now, everyone at work has the flu! I most definitely do not, but I definitely felt bad enough to bail on a planned 12 mile run this morning. Boo.  BUT!  My friend M. went out and did the whole 12 miles on her own, which is a personal distance record for her! Pretty awesome.

Anyways, I’ve just been kind of lying around all weekend. I did go to Body Pump yesterday morning before I started feeling sick, then I went home and took a nap and felt *way* worse. So I ate some ice cream, because clearly that’s what you should eat when you’re sick. Hopefully I didn’t infect anyone at the gym.  If I did…uh, well, sorry. It was an accident (I think).

It’s a good thing my kettle from World Market got here earlier this week!

IMG_20130106_163501I got it to match a skillet I got for Christmas, but it’s not quite the color I was expecting. But, I needed a kettle, so I decided that was ok.  I’ve pretty much used it constantly today because it’s way easier to drink tea (or just hot water) than anything else.

Let’s see…oh, I was reading Fail Blog earlier today and I got a huge kick out of this one:

Oh Yeah!

I can’t stop laughing! I’m sorry if you don’t get it, but I know at least a few people that’ll enjoy it.

On a different note, I had this post saved in my Google reader from a while ago, but I thought it was really good. Definitely a good reminder to stay vigilant, whether you’re behind the wheel or out running.

Now, I’m headed back to my Gossip Girl marathon/Tetris playing until I can’t stay awake more.

Any awesome weekends out there?

I hope you feel better soon, hate to hear that you’re sick but that kettle will come in handy! Hopefully you didn’t infect anyone at the gym, either way you didn’t knowingly go trying to infect people but felt sick afterward, so you’re okay!
